|We're celebrating the event over
at Shangri-La's Boracay Resort & Spa. We fell in love with this place when
we visited it in March 2011. So for the wedding reception, it's either
Shangri-La or bust.
While the wedding entourage is busy with their picture-taking session,
there will be cocktail hour for the wedding guests at the Sagana pre-function
indoor and outdoor
areas. Try the Lychee Martini for something refreshing. The Shang boasts
of many fantastic views and architecture so make sure to bring
your super duper outrageous and ostentatious digital single-lens reflex cameras. Take
special note of the Shang's clever answer to rain ducts. They're
beautifully scattered all over the property. If you can sneak
away, swing by the Solana lounge- if not to have a drink, then to just
take in the views.
After the wedding entourage finishes with their pictorial, let's all
head to the Sagana ballroom for the dinner reception and some serious
eating. Among other things, there will be Wakame (that's a seaweed, we
just checked) and Prawn Salad, probably some Fish Baked in Banana
Leaves, and maybe something called Ube Mousse Cake.
Then for those still left standing, the after-party is at Villa Balani
We do have a little pool there, so be prepared to get wet at some point
during the night (..or morning).
